ADEPT LION Terminology

Constructs: breaking it down to build it up

ADEPT LION is structured by an interplay of several different aspects of meaning.  The simplest way to understand this interplay is by breaking it down into isolated parts.  We call these isolated aspects of meaning ontological constructs.

ADEPT LION channels can be thought of a fixed set of connection types.

It's all in the Channels

All of the ontological constructs are distinguishable and meaningful because of the absence or presence of particular relational channels.

Determining a pattern's meaning requires up to a three-hop examination of channel inputs.

A Computable Algorithm

The ability to algorithmically evaluate channel inputs and identify the meaning of patterns through the ontological constructs is what makes ADEPT LION a computable language.

    Rivulets

Rivulets are the functional building blocks of meaning

The 60 Rivulets in this grid represent the functionally-distinct types of patterns upon which the rules of channel iteration operate.
