Relation

Meaning is grounded in just 7 relations between occasions of pattern.

Every instance of ADEPT LION has only 7 types of relation, called "channels".  Each channel, for each occasion, may or may not receive just one input from another occasion and it must be of a particular type.  

We call this a fixed schema.

Relationships are called channels

 An occasion's meaning is found in the pattern of its relations to other occasions.  These relations are of two types: inputs and outputs.

A pattern's type defines its function.  And living out that function means becoming an input for another occasion.
