The result of each consideration is the assignment of a type and a subtype. An occasion’s types and subtypes determine its purpose and meaning.
There are the three core questions to answer when determining how an occasion functions as an input to other occasions:
The answers to these three questions collectively determine an occasion's functional type.
Given that there are multiple answers to each question, there are 60 functional types in ADEPT LION.
An occasion's interpreted meaning is a different question than its functional type.
Additional questions may be asked of an occasion's pattern of inputs to determine its interpretable subtype.
The meaning of these subtypes is interpreted using the laws of limitation.
There are 219 interpretable subtypes in ADEPT LION.
ADEPT LION is structured by an interplay of several different aspects of meaning. The simplest way to understand this interplay is by breaking it down into isolated parts. We call these isolated aspects of meaning ontological constructs.
All of the ontological constructs are distinguishable and meaningful because of the absence or presence of particular relational channels.
The ability to algorithmically evaluate channel inputs and identify the meaning of patterns through the ontological constructs is what makes ADEPT LION a computable language.
The 60 Rivulets in this grid represent the functionally-distinct types of patterns upon which the rules of channel iteration operate.
